Nadejda Komendantova published the paper "A multi-dimensional model of anticipating intention to use social media for disaster risk reduction, recently published in the International Journal of Disaster Risk Reduction (Elsevier).

The study was conducted using a multi-dimensional model designed on three parameters: technology adoption model, digital infrastructure characteristics of social media, and source credibility.

The results highlighted how the intention to use social media during disasters is generally driven by three factors: acquiring public information, confirming journalistic reporting, and sharing information related to disasters.
